DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1: ARRIVAL
Upon arrival in the Kanombe International Airport, you’ll be met by our representative and after a you will transfer to your hotel.

DAY 2: HISTORICAL KIGALI
After breakfast , you will be taken for a Kigali city tour . You will visit to Kigali Genocide Memorial
You will then be driven to Mille Collines Hotel (also known as Hotel Rwanda) for lunch.
After lunch, you will be driven to Volcanoes National Park (3hrs drive)

DAY 3: GOLDEN MONKEY TREKKING & IBY’IWACU CULTURAL VILLAGE
After morning breakfast at 7:00am you will take short drive to park offices for briefing about Golden Monkey . After you will head out to trek the golden monkeys.

In the Afternoon after lunch you will visit to iby’Iwacu cultural Village for an opportunity to learn about Rwanda’s culture, traditions and history.

DAY 4: GORILLA TREKKING EXPERIENCE
Wake up early and have breakfast . you will be driven to the park office for briefing about Gorillas at 7:00am. After briefing you will head into Volcanoes National Park for Gorilla trekking. The Volcanos National Park hosts over 76 mammal species and over half the world’s population of mountain gorillas. Here you can enjoy trekking through the rainforest in search of these wonderful creatures - a thrilling and memorable experience. You will enjoy seeing Gorillas as they go about their daily life: feeding, playing, resting, grooming and raising their young ones.

In the afternoon you visit to Twin lakes (OPTIONAL) or spend an afternoon at leisure

DAY 5: NYUNGWE NATIONAL PARK
After morning breakfast, you will enjoy a scenic drive to Nyunwe (7hrs drive). Arrive in time for lunch and an afternoon relaxation enjoying the Lodge’s amenities and also an evening tea ceremony.

DAY 6: CHIMPANZEE TREKKING/CANOPY WALK EXPERIENCE
Depart with packed breakfast, drive to cyamudongo forest at 05:00 am

Dinner & Overnight: Nyungwe Top View Hill Hotel (BB)
Nyungwe forest is one of the world’s most beautiful and untouched mountain rainforests. It’s believed to be one of Africa’s oldest forests, staying green even through the Ice Age, which explains its diversity. Home to habituated chimpanzees and 12 other primates species (including a 400-strong troop of habituated Ruwenzori Black & White Colobus), it’s also a birder’s paradise with over 300 species, including 16 endemics, and is home to 75 different species of mammal.
This majestic rainforest is filled with nature and wildlife experiences for you to emerge yourself in. tracking the famous chimpanzees, experiencing the canopy walk, witnessing beautiful birds, relaxing by waterfalls is just a glimpse of activities that Nyungwe offers. DAY 7: PRECOLONIAL RWANDA
After breakfast and checkout you will head to Butare (3hrs drive), where you will visit the National Museum of Rwanda .

After your visit to the museum you will then drive to Nyanza (30min drive) to visit the King’s Palace
King's Palace Museum-Rukari is based in Nyanza, 88 km south of Kigali City, this was the residence of King Mutara III Rudahigwa and the royal palace that was traditionally built. This Palace offers a detailed look into Rwandan traditional monarchy, it is an impressive museum, restored to its 19th century state and made entirely with traditional materials.

DAY 8: VISIT TO LOCAL MARKET/ DEPART RWANDA
After breakfast your guide will take to the local market, this a chance for shopping crafts/souvenirs.
